MIT Certified Engineer

 

Recently, I got an opportunity to Audit Management in Engineering (parts -1 & 2) at MIT ( Massachusetts Institute of Technology online courses) on edX platform and I found the participation very informative and knowledgeable.  According to edX, these courses are part of semester studies from degree courses.

Needless to mention, MIT is World's no.1 University.

   A great refresher on topics of volume/variety flow systems, capacity issues in organizations, EOQ
problems for deciding on the order level and carrying costs of inventories per year, the lean management concepts, JIT, TQM, Kaizen, Kanban, SPC, SIX SIGMA and Quality Assurance concepts . Use of various metrics of measurement supports our decision making process and decide on productivity issues. The role of top management, employees , coach and sponser are well elaborated and we can see our the complete system of production industry and supply chain management can be harmonized effectively and efficiently.

     There are many specializations available to an MBA student in general and "Operations Management" is one such field in good demand. Others include IT, Strategy, Consulting, Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship , etc.
  At online sessions with IIM Bangalore, I came to know that nitty gritty details of things can be of great importance even in business management.
I happened to complete the 5 modules training in about 3 weeks time and got assessed by IIM Bangalore for my strengths and weaknesses in various modules and also appeared for a Proctored Exam and got certified :

Just recently, I took few online courses and realized tremendous potential of internet to boost up various aspects of life and be instrumental in bringing the world closer together.

After my return from US and Europe from a lucrative career, I returned back to some of my old days of life to refresh myself with few educational stuff. Use of internet as a channel was exceedingly helpful in bringing back the old days and memories through immense networking capacity and connectivity. Online technology is very helpful for training, business, sales and marketing, social platforms, groupism, etc.

To name few of the areas that online technology has influenced are:
